Colours of consciousness, part I

This article is intended to provide a oneness perspective on levels of consciousness, without judgment or negativity. Presented is the system of thought in which indigo children/adults fit in.

I broke this article up into two parts as it was getting long. The second part is for tomorrow.

So, I mentioned indigo children/adults in the last post. These people - indigos for short - are very special souls that come along to stimulate spiritual evolution over here.

Actually they come over here to be as they are. No-one tells them they have to do anything. But they feel a strong calling to make a change. They feel very out of place in this world and would not have come here just to hang out and have some beers. They often suffer, because this just isn't their world.

The other day I was thinking about indigos, other colours of consciousness, and the concept of spiritual growth or maturity. What is an indigo? I think you could say it's a stage in maturity. Like children, we as souls evolve as we grow up and become more and more equipped to deal with life. To start with, we are not much more than babies, searching for our mother's breast, and if there is none, we are lost. As we grow, we become stronger and more capable of dealing with things on our own.

A non-judgemental stance on levels of consciousness

I came to this perspective a while back when thinking about "dark" people and trying to work out my feelings about them. I've been very angry and resistant at the world before, seeing all of the injustice out there, the lying, the inauthenticity, the waste, and all of that bullshit. I've made some pretty angsty blog posts :)

I could see that being unhappy about everything was a dead end, so it came to a point round about the new year where I said - "Enough. I just want to be happy. I want to see the glass half full. I'm ready to break down all my beliefs about everything. BRING IT ON, Universe." I cracked my knuckles and prepared for God to slap me silly.

If I am to see everything in a positive light, there can be no negativity, so I had to find a new way of looking at "dark" people. And I had a funny experience. It wasn't like a revelation, more like a slow realisation, but I'll present it here briefly:

I tried to look inside a dark person, and instead of finding darkness, sludge, or a barrier around his heart, I saw - a baby.

Then it all made sense.

Soul age

Imagine a world in which everyone were children. They have absolutely no idea how to live, what life is about, what they are doing here, or how to do it. They're just getting used to being able to wield power and they're hurting themselves and one another in the process.

Welcome to Earth!

In my heart of hearts, I always felt like people were fundamentally good. Later I got bitter about the world and addicted to my big drama, me Vs. them. But I never quite forgot this.

People are hurting each other now because they are still coming to terms with what they are and what existence is. They're growing into their body. Their perception is limited so they do things that are cruel and wasteful. If they could only have one minute of connection, though, they'd cry about what they'd done.

The world's level of consciousness

My intuition tells me that this world is on the green level now and moving towards blue. Some countries and cultures have more yellow influence, while the countries of the first world are where the blue vibration is strongest.

If indigos are souls who have reached young adulthood, blues would be teenagers, straddling the line between child and adult. Greens are still in late childhood.

So this is why we're going through a spiritual revolution nowadays, at least I think so. Going from green to blue is going to be an important shift for us as a planet. Oneness, or God, is going to make itself evident.

I don't know why there are so many children on Earth and practically no adults. I don't know if this is by design or not. I wonder if there exists a world with more adults than children, and what it would be like. Maybe there wouldn't be such a huge issue with negativity; the young ones would look to the old ones for their context, and they would be protected and loved, and they'd hurt each other only rarely rather than every single day.

I've observed that people of younger soul ages can be loving and kind and beautiful. However, when they are subjected to pain and harshness, they become affected and end up perpetuating their damaged state. Maybe something went terribly wrong on this world. Why aren't there more adults to help us out?

Perhaps though, we were supposed to experience growing up with others our age. Perhaps this happens everywhere. After all, we are in a way protected and loved by the “adults”. It's just that they're not here in bodies, they work from the etheric planes.

I don't know. Here I have more questions than answers for you. What I believe to be true, anyway, is that there is a difference between discord vs. harmony and soul maturity. As we are all God, we have huge power to create our world and the choice of what to do with that power. When we create from a place of forgetting who we are, we create discord, and it hurts. When we choose to do things in harmony, we experience health and joy. As we grow, we become powerful, more intelligent, which makes us more equipped to discern what is harmonious, and more capable of creating harmony if we so desire.

So that's the end of the article for today. Tomorrow I will go into each colour of consciousness one by one to give a picture of how a soul matures from birth to adulthood.
